Photo assisting can provide you with an educational and exciting foundation upon which to build a sustainable, successful photography career, often giving you a front-row seat on some of the industry’s the most exciting shoots. Assisting is about having a great attitude, working hard, understanding how to use a range of equipment, and finally having an adaptive personality. Assistants are required to have extensive knowledge of equipment and lighting, understand proper handling and care of gear, the processes involved in a shoot and the image workflow so the photographer can capture the ultimate image.
