It has a wide zoom range that can photograph a range of subjects and cover a huge range of scenes with just one lens. As such it is suitable for application in fields such as motorsports, field sports, nature photography, news shooting such as documentaries, newspapers and magazines where it is a priority for photographers to reduce the weight of the equipment being carried.
Reduce the appearance of camera shake. The lens itself is equipped with 5 stop Image Stabilizer. The IS mode switch on the lens also enables you to select the best mode for your shooting needs: IS mode 1 for still subjects, IS mode 2 for panning and IS mode 3 for irregular movement.
The combination of coordinated control with in-lens Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) with the Movie Digital IS allows videographers and cinematographers to comfortably shoot steady scenes where blurring could easily occur such as unstable postures or whilst walking.
Successful suppression of colour aberration from blurring in the defocus region is achieved through the use of UD lenses and optical design. Since the blurring in front and behind the focused area is natural, it is possible to create a three-dimensional expression.
