Finance Policy

The Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8 L Dual Fisheye lens is the world’s first lens for digital interchangeable lens cameras enabling 180° VR shooting with one camera to a single sensor.

When the lens is combined with a firmware upgrade on the EOS R5, it offers the industry's first ever 8K 30p VR compatibility on a digital interchangeable lens camera using a full frame sensor.

Capture content for 3D VR on EOS R5

The Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8 L Dual Fisheye lens enables photographers to capture digital images and video for use in virtual reality, including augmented and mixed reality media. With the lens capturing a wide angle of view from 2 separate angles, a 3D image can be created.

Easy set up

The Fisheye lens is easy to set up with the EOS R5. Simply apply a filter if needed to the rear of the lens, attach it to your EOS R5, set your focus and start shooting. This lens removes the need for multiple camera set ups and allows quick and simple installation in most environments.

Streamlined VR workflow

Canon’s EOS VR System also includes a newly developed Canon VR Utility application and EOS VR Plug-in for Adobe® Premiere® Pro to make the image conversion process⁴, from a dual circular fisheye image to a more recognisable side-by-side equirectangular 180° VR format, effortless.

Large f/2.8 for bright footage

The Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8 L Dual Fisheye lens supports shooting in dark locations with its large f/2.8 aperture, along with the optical performance of an L series lens. In conjunction with the EOS R5's high-sensitivity CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processor, the two work in conjuction with each other to create high quality, low noise footage.
