10 Years. 100 Photographers. This Time It's Personal 2019
This November, SUNSTUDIOS annual preeminent exhibition This Time It's Personal (TTIP) celebrates its tenth anniversary milestone.
TTIP offers a glimpse into what Australia’s leading professionals shoot for love alone. Opening on Thursday 28 November in the SUNSTUDIOS Sydney Atrium Gallery, the exhibition provides a platform for the industry’s best professional image makers to exhibit personal work in the name of raising funds for an important cause, and to come together to celebrate another year.
To celebrate a decade of TTIP, we’re going bigger and better than ever:
10 YEARS. 100 PHOTOGRAPHERS.
All works are sold on the night and as usual, every dollar raised will be donated to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in support of cancer research and treatment.
Art buyers can purchase at a great price - guilt-free - knowing their money is going to a cause that can really use it.

THE CURATOR
Rachel Knepfer returns for a third year as curator. Knepfer was born in San Francisco and now lives in Sydney. She has always worked with pictures – as an editor, creative director and producer.
As the director of photography at Rolling Stone Magazine in New York, she collaborated with photographers including Mary Ellen Mark, Dan Winters, Mark Seliger, Herb Ritts, Martin Schoeller and David Lachapelle.
"Working at Rolling Stone in New York a few lifetimes ago, a world of photographers would come through our door to show portfolios. Often our first question was, ‘what about your personal work?’.
The beauty would be in the journals, the sketches, the pictures people made for the love of it. It’s there you find the evidence of how someone thinks and a glimpse into a brain, a heart. This is what you want to see when commissioning new work.
For me, these are so often the best pictures. So, it’s good, for many reasons, that SUNSTUDIOS continues to encourage and celebrate work that is personal. Here’s to photographers who carve out their own worlds in pictures. For making things that didn’t exist, conjuring up bits of magic from imagination, and for pursuing projects just for themselves."
