Our SUNSTUDIOS Studio division provides industry leading services and expertise to the creative industry in Australia. These services encompass shoot bookings, production, and event management. Key customer segments include broadcast television networks, film production agencies, online streaming services, industry leading stills photographers, corporate event partners and many more.

About the Role

The role is a service-focused role that centres around providing technical, practical and administrative support to our clients and team members. This role would suit someone who is strongly detail orientated, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is a team player. You can expect to interact with videographers, photographers, camera crews, studio clients and production houses from varying industries, which the vibrant SUNSTUDIOS community is comprised of. This is a casual role to be based out of our South Melbourne studio.

Main Duties


  • Maintaining and managing customer assets
  • Customer facing position within our rental and studio department
  • Maintaining lighting, camera and digital equipment
  • Preparing and servicing equipment for shoots, including deliveries
  • Taking phone, internet and walk-in enquiries and bookings
  • Administration including quoting, processing payments, and invoicing
  • Liaising with studio clients
  • Studio set up and reset

Key Requirements

You would ideally possess video expertise & have worked in the video or photography industry alongside being a natural at customer service. Key skills & experience –

  • Knowledge of cinema equipment and processes
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and a team player
  • Great attention to detail
  • Driver's license is a must
  • Flexible working hours

About the Role

SUNSTUDIOS Sydney is looking for a Rental Assistant to join our Equipment Department on a full-time basis. You will be working closely with the Services Manager, Rental Team Leads, and fellow Rental Assistants on packing equipment for location and studio bookings, providing customer service and administrative support, and helping clients in studio with their day-to-day equipment needs. This role also involves the testing and cleaning of equipment upon its return from shoots, delivering gear to clients in the Sydney Metro area, and greeting studio and rental clients upon arrival.

We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and solutions-focused, can-do attitude, and are thus looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door with a photography/video studio and be part of an established industry leader. This role would suit someone who works well in a team environment, is a good communicator, and enjoys learning on the job.

Main Duties


  • Preparing equipment for studio and location shoots
  • Maintaining equipment and facilities to high standard
  • Ensuring equipment is flawlessly packed and checked before leaving and upon return
  • Providing customer service, technical support, and advice related to equipment
  • Offering exceptional level of service to clients in studio
  • Administration – registering new clients, quoting, invoicing, taking payment, outsourcing equipment
  • Delivering equipment in Sydney Metropolitan area
  • Working closely and collaboratively with other team members and departments

About the Role

SUNSTUDIOS Sydney is looking for a Rental Assistant (Admin) to join the Equipment Rental Team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for managing equipment bookings, liaising with producers, photographers and DPs on equipment lists and budgets, updating the booking calendar, and allocating stock. You will work closely with the team leads and technician on delivering equipment at a high standard and in a timely manner. You will also collaborate with the Studios Department on equipment hires in studios and assist with invoicing. This role is based in Alexandria and reports to the Video Team Lead.

Main Duties

  • Administration – register new clients, quoting on equipment, invoicing, taking payment, scheduling deliveries and cross hires
  • Customer service – supporting clients via phone, email and in person
  • Receiving customer feedback and resolving disputes and queries
  • Working collaboratively with team leads on meeting daily targets
  • Maintain oversight of technicians' workflow, ensuring jobs are packed in timely manner
  • Ensuring the growth and relevance of services at SUNSTUDIOS
  • Contribute to 50/50 stills and motion revenue target

Key Requirements
